2022 has been another fantastic year for TTS Performance. In June, we celebrated our 40th year in business by holding an event at the Super Sausage Cafe. Many customers, friends and suppliers joined us for the party and to see the grand unveiling of our limited-edition, 370bhp SuperBusa – definitely the highlight of the year for us.
Since then, the SuperBusa has made the cover of Motorcycle News (twice) and received a huge amount of media interest from all over the world. MCN's Bruce Dunn commented: “That is, without doubt, the quickest bike I have ever ridden. There is nothing, not anything that will ever come close to out accelerating this bike, bar another SuperBusa."
The halo product of our extensive supercharger range, the SuperBusa is a high-end machine for those who want the ultimate, limited-edition street bike. It has also shone a light on our other Hayabusa packages, available for all three generations of Suzuki's iconic sports bike.
Then, in October, we completed our first Rocket 300 for a UK customer. Another long anticipated bike, the Rocket also generated a huge amount of media interest, thanks in no small part to its headline figures of 340bhp and a monstrous 270lb/ft of torque! Having initially planned a run of ten Rocket 300s, we've since added another ten to the limited production run, with bikes being commissioned from as far afield as Australia, the United States and Vietnam.
But we weren't done yet. Oh no, because 2022 was also the year we launched our brand new package for 2017-on Harley-Davidson M8s. Like the SuperBusa, this new kit was made possible by the launch of the new, counterclockwise rotation superchargers from Rotrex. This new setup meant we could simplify the design of our existing M8 kit, making it easier to produce and quicker to install.
With three significant new packages in development, much of the year was spent either in the dyno cell, or on the track. We're fortunate to have the UK's premier drag strip and a selection of airfields on our door step, so new product shakedowns were a regular thing. Our friends at 44Teeth.com joined us for some of the testing and the resulting videos became some of their most viewed on the channel (click HERE to watch them).
So, to sum up, 2022 has been a great year for TTS. But we also have lots of exciting plans in store for 2023, including more new product launches and continuous development of our existing packages. We'll be back out to crack 200mph on the SuperBusa and also put it up against some serious competition (cars and bikes) for some airfield drag races.
Our workshop closes for business on Friday 23rd December and will reopen on Tuesday 3rd January.
We'd like to take this opportunity to wish all of our customers, suppliers and friends a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
